All orders ship via USPS.
Shipping costs are currently $3.40 for one polish + $.60 for each additional polish (up to five bottles). However, USPS will be implementing a price increase on January 27, 2019. I will be adjusting my shipping costs to reflect those changes. ***Shipping overages based on actual Priority Mail costs will be refunded if the difference is more than $1.50.
I ship to US addresses only, and my shipping days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
PROCESSING, TURN-AROUND TIME (TAT) & CUSTOMER SERVICE
My TAT for processing & shipping orders is typically 5-7 business days, under *normal* conditions. But during sales, new polish/collection launches and restocks, processing/shipping can take 10-14 business days. After a pre-order closes, my TAT may be up to 14 business days.
I only process orders & handle customer service inquiries Monday-Friday. All customer services issues should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. No facebook or instagram private messages, please.
REFUNDS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
All sales are final, so please confirm your order before submitting.
I'm not responsible for packages once they leave my possession. I pack orders very well, but sometimes the USPS seemingly plays field hockey with our stuffs, amirite?! If your order arrives with a damaged item, please email me within 48 hours of delivery (and include photos) so that I will have a record of the damages caused by USPS.
WEATHER & TEMPERATURE CAUTIONS
Polishes travel through various temperature ranges during the shipping process, which can negatively affect their formulas. Especially during warmer & colder months, it's always best to let your bottles sit for 24-48 hours before you open them, to allow the polish time to adjust to the temperature of your home. Opening and/or using them too soon after receiving them in the mail could result in the polishes thickening & becoming goopy.
WHAT DOES "5-FREE POLISH" MEAN?
My bases & pigments are free of the following potentially harmful chemicals that may be found in mainstream polishes: toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde resin & camphor.
Base ingredients: Nitrocelluose, Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Propyl Acetate, Isopropyl Alcohol, n-Butyl Alcohol, Triphenyl Phosphate.
I don't test my products on animals. I have five dogs & a cat...there's no way in hell they'd ever sit still long enough for me to paint their nails.
All of the raw materials that make up my polishes are also animal- and cruelty-free.
All polishes are hand-mixed in very small batches (I'm talkin 3-8 polishes at a time). I do my absolute best to maintain consistency from batch to batch, but slight variations may occur.
Also, different computer monitors & displays can cause colors to appear varied. My swatchers & I try our best to accurately depict true colors in the photos that are featured on this site.
STAINING & SEPARATION
I use high quality & deeply saturated pigments in my products, so staining is possible. It's always advisable to apply a trusty base coat, especially under darker colored polishes.
It's normal for bases & pigments to separate over time, so give your bottles a good shake every now & then.
Disclaimer: Some polishes may develop a "ring" around the inside of the bottle -- anywhere from the fill-line, to the middle, to down near the bottom, even when the bottle is full. This has happened in cases where any form of yellow pigment has been used (mostly in creme finishes). The ring may push your bottle towards UBS ("Ugly Bottle Syndrome") territory, but it in no way affects the polish itself or the application process.
PROTOTYPES & OOPSIES
From time to time, I create polishes that don't make it into specific collections. And sometimes during the re-mixing process, I accidentally add too much or too little of an ingredient, which can throw off the original color (an "oopsie"). I will occasionally list protos & oopsies in the shop, so check back often to see what *very* limited editions you can snag.
